I use a product called "my-kap." It's a plastic lid that fits into used k-cups. Just tear the foil off a used k-cup, empty/rinse out the old coffee, add your own coffee, and snap the lid into place. This way you get to use any coffee you want, and you aren't throwing anything away since you reuse both the cup and the original filter. They also sell replacement filters, but I've used the same cup and filter many, many times and still had great results. You can get three "Kaps" for about $10. They also have deals that if you refer someone you get a free kap. Just another option!

The difference is the amount of coffee that is wasted. This has been a big change for many office environments where gallons of coffee goes to waste. It is also better for households with only moderate coffee drinkers.

I've used one at the office only. If you buy the reusable filters, how is K-cup coffeemaker different than any other coffeemaker?

Actually...it is $19.00 a month not $19.99. I have had a phone with them for about 6 weeks and couldn't be happier with the service.

My wife - an ex-coupon queen - came to this conclusion pretty quickly in her couponing career. The stockpile we built saw us through about 6 months time and that was almost more than either of us could tolerate. The "stuff" just takes up a lot of space. She does enjoy it and realizes a sense of accomplishment when she gets a good deal, but her definition of a good deal has changed as her eyes have opened wider to how it all works.

I read an article in the Charlotte Observer about the show because 2 NC ladies are in it. In the article Lowes' food expressed their displeasure with their experience. The store had too bend the policy to allow the couponer to do their best shopping trip ever. The Lowes' spokesperson said everything was staged. There is nothing good about the show. Since I've started teaching couponing I spend more time explaining why You can't and shouldn't be like those people on TV.
