She has one doll and that is the only one she has ever wanted since she was 4. Anyways, we bought the books at Mr. K's. Our used bookstore. They are on a third grade level and even now in 5th she still loves to read them. We have a rule that she reads two grade level books and then she can read (or reread) one American Girl Book. I also happened upon a few of the books at yard sales for 10c each. Since the new movie is coming out it I'm sure they will see a surge in sales and prices will go up.
