Get Out of Your Cell Phone Contract

I have just finished researching a great website.  It is called Cell Trade.  This is a great consumer to consumer way to get out of your contract with your cell phone provider.  The website is a pretty simple idea.  You register, letting people know about your service provider and plan, and someone else who is searching through the database will contact you to do a transfer of liability.  You show up at the same time to do the transfer and then you walk away with no contract.

The other great thing is you could end up with a really great plan that someone is just trying to dump.  So you can also sign up to receive a transfer from someone in your area.

The only downside I see is if you transfer your account to someone else you will lose your phone number.  For some people this may be an acceptable loss if they are getting hammered with their current carrier.
