ooVoo Review

I have been trying out a new service called ooVoo. To put it simply ooVoo is Skype on crack. It takes video conferencing to a whole new level. It does use more bandwidth than Skype but the video is clearer and hit has some features that I have not seen with Skype. The biggest one is multiple video connections. You can actually have a video conference with six people at one time. Although I haven't managed to get six people on there at one time it was pretty cool to talk to 3 people at a time.

ooVoo also allows you to leave a video message for someone and when they login they can pick up the message. Along with individual video messaging you can send a single message to as many people as you want, including people who have not subscribed to the service.

One feature I found useful was the ability to turn off your camera or microphone. This way if you are looking particularly rough one day you do not have to let other people see you. Oh and did I mention that ooVoo is FREE!!!! (my favorite word). That's right, all these features at no cost to the consumer.  This is a great product if you have friends and family that you do not get to see regularly.  I would make sure they are reasonably tech savvy.  Otherwise you may be getting more questions than having meaningful conversations.
