Publix Deal Ending TODAY!!!

Thanks to Jenny from Southern Savers for her list of Publix deals that made it so easy for me to put this together.

Publix is one of the nicer grocery stores around and they run some amazing deals.  The big kicker right now is that you can purchase Kellogg's cereals for 31¢ a box.  So here is how it works:

-There are a variety of Kellogg's cereals that are buy one get one free.  The normal price in my area is $3.60.  This means the cereal is $1.80 a box.

-There is a coupon in this past Sundays Red Plum circular that is $1 off of two boxes of Kellogg's cereal.  This brings the price down to $1.30.

-Publix will match competitors store coupons.  Food Lion has printable coupons and one of them is $1 off any Kellogg's cereal.  By stacking this coupon the box of cereal drops to 30¢. (get the coupons easily from over at Southern Savers Food Lion coupon page)

BUT THAT'S NOT ALL!!  In that same circular where you find the $1 off two boxes of Kellogg's cereal there is a rebate form for $10 back when you purchase 10 Kellogg's products.  This is the day to buy those ten products, if you have all the coupons.  Here is how I got to ten:

6 boxes of Kellogg's cereal that qualify for all of the above

4 boxes of Pop-Tarts (also a buy one get one free deal)

3 coupons for the $1 off two boxes of cereal from the Red plum circulars ( I purchase 3 newspapers a week)

6 printed coupons from Food Lion

2 coupons for $1 off two boxes of Pop-Tarts from the same Red Plum circular

This means the Boxes of cereal cost me $1.80 and the Pop-Tarts $2.80 for a grand total of $4.60.  The mail-in rebate is for $10.  This means I made $5.40 on the transaction.

Now I could have done a little better if I had purchase five newspapers but then I would have spent more on the newspapers also.  Overall this is an amazing deal.

  • Unfortunately, you have to be careful and ask each individual Publix their competitor coupon policy. The Publix's at McBee Station (Downtown Greenville) and Poinsett Hwy (near Furman and Cherrydale) will not accept Food Lion coupons (Bloom, Ingles, Bi-Lo only). The Publix corporate coupon policy gives local managers power to make these decisions, so make sure you know what your local Publix accepts.
