A big key to saving money on something is knowing where to look and who to talk to. I am designing these three posts around the idea that most people do not like to ask a manager for a lower price than what is posted on the sticker on in the sales flyer.
Part 1
Part one is the easiest and that is why I am doing part one and two together. The simple idea of shopping for a deal. Check sales flyers, internet ads, etc. etc. Stores put things on sale and on clearance all the time. By just shopping around you will see a difference in prices between wal-mart, target, best buy, etc. So shop and use the internet to your advantage. You don’t need to drive everywhere any more just check out each retailers prices from home then go to the best place.
Part 2
Coupons and coupon codes will allow you to cut the prices of sale items even further. This works best on groceries but will work on many other items as well. The easiest way to find a coupon code on line is to go to Blingo (we don’t use Google at this site. click here to find out why) and type in the retail store with “coupon codes” behind it. Tons of places will usually pop up if it is a major chain. The other major savings that I have been taking advantage of are the coupons in the Sunday paper. Now I hate clipping coupons so I had to find a better way. I have already mentioned the Grocery Game service on here. If you have lots of people to buy for it is a great service. Since it is just me and my wife for now the detail in the grocery game did not really justify the cost of $10 per month. I then found CouponMom.com. The coupon mom gives a very similar list of deals by vendor and matches them to coupons for you. She even tells you which cirular they come from. This way all I have to do is take the coupons from the sunday paper, put a date on them and toss them into a folder. This way there is no clipping until I need something. Best of all couponmom.com is FREE!! (my favorite word). She focuses on grocery stores but also posts the deals from Walmart, Target, CVS, Riteaid, and Walgreens.
Tomorrow we will talk about part three of the quadruple dip. This part will change the way you shop!
