The Advantage of Freedom
One of the nice things about having your finances in order is being able to jump on a deal. With the recent down turn in consumer spending the deals are starting to flow like water. Most markets are feeling the pinch of the creditors tightening up their standards. This means there are a lot of deals around. Cars dealers, home sellers, and just about all retailers are putting things on sale and throwing deals around. Such a large portion of the population is in serious debt that they are finally starting to think they may want to lay off the consumer spending. Maybe, just maybe, some people are starting to get the idea that debt is bad.
For those who have gone the way of frugality ,and have not run up “lifestyle debt”, they are poised to take advantage of the down market. The way I see it the stock market isn’t down, everything is on sale. Same with housing and retail. I’m not complaining about the economy I am reveling in the fact that I may be able to purchase a rental property sooner than later because there are so many houses on the market people are getting desperate to sell. All these conditions create opportunities for people who have positioned themselves properly.
If you are not in that position right now you can get there so that when the next opportunity arises you will be ready. If you are completely clueless on how to do this, or just feel lost in a sea of financial confusion, there are people out there that can help. Just a few that I recommend are Joe Sangl, Dave Ramsey, and Larry Burkett. All three of these guys are great when it comes to helping you get your finances in order. Just for the record Larry Burkett passed away a while ago but he left a legacy called Crown Financial Ministries that have helped thousands of people through the years. I believe Joe Sangl and Dave Ramsey are on the same track that led Burkett to have a lasting impact on people in our country.
