I started dabbling in investing with ING when they first started doing business in the U.S.. When CapOne bought out ING, I went with the flow and continued playing with stocks. Eventually, I opened a savings account with CapOne just to park some money. Finally, a couple of years ago, I opened a checking account and I now use that as my primary personal banking account. The biggest "con" is definitely the lack of physical banking options. I loved the few Capital One Cafes that I found in the LA area and loved it even more when they started putting real Capital One ATM's in local Target stores throughout LA and Orange Counties. Now I just moved to Riverside County and I am bummed to find no such ATM's in the many Target stores out here. I'm hoping that CapOne expands their network of ATM's in Target stores everywhere.
