Carrots or any root crop will absorb any toxic material, pesticides or herbicides that may be in a growers soil. If you are buying or growing Carrots make sure the soil they come from doesn’t have any toxic materials in it, have your soil tested for herbicides, pesticides, and heavy metals and buy only Organic root crops.

The “clean” non-organic foods are not affected by pesticides because of the nature of the produce and how it is grown.
