One thing, though, I hope you consider when it comes to dining out: We usually get water instead of paying for beverages and typically add $1 per person on top of the regular tip. Restaurant servers make a good portion of their tips from drinks, yet they work just as hard to bring us that water (and keep the glass filled) as when they bring us a drink that is on the menu. We still save some money but help compensate the server fairly.
