I was able to use the Tuition Assistance program (75% of tuition was paid by the Army) while on active duty to earn my undergraduate degree and the G.I. Bill to earn my MBA soon after retiring. Combine the educational benefits with the practical experiences learned/honed on active duty and it’s a winning combination!

If you have private loans then there are not a lot of options. Federally subsidized loans can be consolidated through the department of education. Whether you should or should not consolidate depends on the interest rates of your loans and whether they are currently in good standing. There are also federal programs to help with getting those loans paid off. All of that information is on the Department of Education website ED.gov
