I am a Poshmark Seller. I am so tired of Lowballers till I don’t know what to do. I take pride in trying to sell a quality product, however there are some buyers on Poshmark that just want something for nothing. No I don’t list items at retail, even if it’s new with tags, however buyers offer little to nothing for these items. Even with a very low price listing, they want more off. I have sold item in which I’ve only made $6.93, and the low offers keep coming. I have items new with tags for $65 which retail for $138 and still I get offers for $15 or $16 dollars. This is unreal. If you post what you will make on a sale, it’s taken negatively or tacky. I have UGG Boots practically brand new and still lowballers come. Yes I know I have a right to decline and I do, but this is so ridiculous, especially with the fees that go to Poshmark. I love this sight but, between the lowballers and people that ask for additional measurements and never buy, it’s never ending. Just venting.

Hi,I only have a few things I want to sell,but if its really a “buyers’ market”and not really worth it to list very nice or RARE,NO BRAND NAME ,items(I have a real fur cape, but not “brand name”,vintage) then I’m in the wrong place. I have “unusual”items that are “one of a kind”and there are not more.Also,I have some very “vintage”items. If I tried to sell very old costume jewelry,is this the place?Jade necklace?(green but real.)I have vintage (for example)costume jewelry from the 60’s,or scarves?I also have silk clothing.But they aren’t “brand”,or “trendy”they are vintage.And,I believe in listing measurements.Am I in the wrong place?Thanks!

In reply to Carol Keith. Hi Carol, Poshmark is geared toward social shopping so many of the sellers are aggressive in trying to get people to follow them. One strategy is to friend new buyers. You can just ignore these people. They won't be given access to anything you are doing until you allow them to.

I went on Poshmark, looking for shoes for a friend who recently had surgery and couldn’t afford new, name brand shoes that were suggested by her Dr. as Born, brand. As I found several I thought I would sign up and see if she liked any. About 5min after signing up, I had over 30 followers with a constantly growing list. Mt first question is…who are these people and why are they following me? One answered a question including this odd remark about how I was such a great friend of hers. I have no idea who she is, so could someone help me with that? I left a message with Posh Mark and so far haven’t received a reply. I don’t like the idea of shopping with tons of vultures hanging over my online actions, am I wrong?

In reply to Gadgetgirl. This can be a problem with any platform where individuals are selling. On the app they list the items that have been most recently posted and on each item there is a notation of the last time the person updated the listing. Sticking to Poshmark listings that have been recently purchased or updated will yield better results. The other strategy I use is to make a low ball offer on listing that have not been updated recently. The offer expires after a couple of days so if they don't respond you know it is a dead listing.

I just started shopping on Poshmark I have left questions for several sellers regarding their products And also put in offers without ever getting a response. I don’t know if this is normal or if they are even still selling the items. It feels like they posted the items and walked away from the app forever. Is this normal ?

I appreciate this post Paul! I am a part time clothes reseller on the side – I like to find deals at thrift stores and flip them. It’s fun and it can be a useful additional income stream. The most inconvenient downside however is managing all of the inventory.. if you’re not careful you end up with a monstrous pile of clothes in your garage and closet. Regardless, the process of selling clothes and making money has been fun!
