If you get gasoline or shop at 7-Eleven frequently then it’s a no brainer to have the rewards app. I, however, am not naturally one of those people.

Once 7-Eleven bought out the gas station on the corner about a mile from mile my house I decided to check out their app, and it is AWESOME!

This 7-Eleven rewards app review will help you use the app more effectively and includes a few hacks to help you save money!

How the 7-11 Rewards App Works

Like many other apps that have attached rewards programs you can accumulate points on the 7eleven rewards app by entering your phone number at the register or scanning a bar code from the app itself.

For any purchase you make you earn points, which can be cashed in for items in the store or for money off your purchase.

Fortunately for everyone out there this is just the tip of the ice burg.

Discounts

7-Eleven consistently offers discounts on favorite products when you use your app.

As I write this, you can get three slices of pizza and a 32oz Big Gulp for $3 or get the 32oz Big Gulp by itself for $0.79.

Some deals will last all year while others show up for only a month. There always seems to be a deal on the app that is much cheaper than any other fast food options.

Rewards

The rewards piece of the 7-Eleven app is very solid.

Every dollar you spend at 7-Eleven earns you 10 points. Every 1,000 points you earn is $1 off a purchase.

You can choose to cash in points for a discount on your purchases. However, that isn’t the best way to use your points. You can also cash in your points for specific rewards.

My family’s favorite is the six pack of mini donuts that uses 500 points which are currently $1.49. If you were to pay with points that would only be worth 50¢, but the reward option makes it free.

Referral Bonus

Like most rewards programs there is a reward for referring people.

If you follow this link or use the referral code rvnfmw we will each get 1,000 points. That’s worth $1 off a purchase or two packs of chocolate mini-donuts.

Gasoline Savings

When you first sign up for an account you will get 11¢ off per gallon for the first seven fill ups.

After that you get 3¢ off per gallon every time you get fuel at a 7-Eleven

Wallet

Inside the app you can set up a wallet that connects to a credit or debit card. Using the wallet can allow you to self checkout at some locations and pay for fuel at the pump.

You get extra rewards for using the wallet. Right now they are giving users 10x points for wallet purchases.

Is it Legit?

Yes, the 7-Eleven Rewards app is a legit rewards program and very competitive with any other gas station or fast food restaurant rewards.

I have been using the app for more than a year with no problems.

7Rewards App Hacks

7-Eleven keeps a pretty tight ship when it comes to keeping your from taking advantage of their app.

For the most part you get the deals they offer and nothing else.

Stack Your Rewards

With one purchase you can earn rewards in three different programs. The first is the 7Rewards program.

Next you can use a rewards credit card. I have one that gives me 5% cash back at gas stations.

Finally, you can scan your receipts into the Fetch Rewards app. No matter what you purchase you will get 25 points and if you buy any name brand products there is a chance you will get bonus points.

I bought a Pepsi product one time that only cost me one dollar because of a 7Rewards discount. I got 5% cash back on my card and 1,000 bonus points on Fetch.

That means I got the Pepsi for free after all those discounts. This doesn’t happen often but stacking rewards is a great way to maximize your savings.

This is an easy way to rack up points and help others save money when they need some fast food.

Pros

  • Easy to use
  • Savings on Gasoline
  • Discounts are significant
  • Rewards options are useful
  • Makes checkout easier

Cons

I will be honest. Food from fast food restaurants and gas stations is not the best for you and having this app definitely prompts me to stop in a little more frequently than I should.

7Rewards Alternatives

To try and list all the alternatives would be insane so here are three apps for fast food that I really like:

QuikTrip

QuikTrip is a competing gas station chain and QT App is excellent. There are coupons and deals available all the time.

They do not have rewards, but the food at this chain is of higher quality than most restaurants and they stay away from offering sushi.

Burger King

If I am on the road looking for a quick bite I always check the Burger King app. They have a rewards program and the app is always full of coupons.

Many times I can get a meal for $3-$4.

Chic-fil-A

Like their drive-thru line, the Chic-fil-A app works beautifully. For every purchase you earn points and from time to time your local restaurant can throw a free item into the app for you.

7-eleven Rewards App Review Final Thoughts

I have to say that I am a big fan of the 7Rewards app. I know they aren’t technically a restaurant but it is one of the best fast food apps available.

There isn’t anything that really pops up as a negative other than my want to spend as little as possible pushes me in to eating food that isn’t the best for me.

If you are looking for inexpensive options from a chain that covers most of the country, then the 711 app is an excellent choice.
