My Final Thoughts on What the Bible Says about Stewardship
Amy and I started a Dave Ramsey course one month into our marriage. It ended up being the best early decision in our marriage.
Not only did the course give us a structure to our finances, but it also gave us the ability to discuss what was important in our lives as individuals and as a family.
This level of honesty has allowed us to avoid dozens, if not hundreds, of financial fights throughout our marriage. It is a significant contributor to why we have such a good relationship.
The philosophy that we don’t own what we possess, but are stewards, has allowed my family to keep our blessing in perspective as just that, blessings. It allows us to be more generous and have less stress because God has it under control.
I highly encourage you to study more about what the Bible says about money and modify your lifestyle to its teachings.
