How Does BzzAgent Work?

BzzAgent is an online product testing panel that works with multiple popular brands, like Disney, Purina, Nestle, and Loreal.

bzzz agent review

They help these companies collect honest opinions from consumers such as yourself by providing them free samples, ranging from chocolates and skincare products to dog foods, and everything in between.

They have over a million agents in North America and Europe who don’t just provide hones

t feedback but also share their opinions with others through their social media.

To become a Bzz agent and receive free samples, you have to sign up via their site by filling in relevant personal info and connecting your social media accounts. You also have to be a legal resident of the US, Canada, Germany, France, or Brazil.

If you reside in any of these countries, you can become a member and their join their community free of charge. If a survey panel site asks you for a sign-up fee, they are almost certainly a scam, and you should steer clear of it.

When you’ve finished the whole registration process, you’ll usually get product matches, and then survey invites, but many customers have complained that it can take months before you get an invitation to test a product, and often, you don’t get an invitation at all.

This point might be of concern, especially if you were expecting to get test products often.

Completing campaigns

When you complete the survey invites, the company sends you a free sample to review.

Whatever product you test for a brand as an agent, you get to keep and use. In other words, you’re just getting stuff for free, just by completing their campaigns. If you already earn a passive income, BzzAgent can be a great way to win some freebies.

You are assigned a Bzzscore based on the quality of your campaign and your activity, on the scale of 0 to 6 tiers, the higher your score is, the higher the chance of getting more campaigns and in turn more free samples.

To gain a higher score, you might also have to post the samples you receive on your social media and maybe write a short review about it.

The primary objective of a BzzAgent is to generate buzz or discussion around a particular product so that it can reach your friends and family through you. Given this, you can’t just post a picture or a video and call it a day.

The site asks its agents to create chatter about the test products, and that simply can’t be done if you don’t have a sizable number of social media followers.

Your activities as a BzzAgent don’t end there, either. You can also create BzzReports which are just an account of how you discussed the free sample with your social circles in person.

BzzAgent believes in marketing through the word of mouth and awards you points for every time you “bzz” this way. In addition to free samples from well-known brands, you can also exchange your points for gift cards through their partner site.

Is BzzAgent legit?

BzzAgent has been in business for seventeen long years, and they have a glowing A+ rating on BBB. Besides, they have over a million agents in North America and Europe, and they are associated with large and well-known brands. This all points to their platform being legitimate, and not a scam.

How do I get paid?

If you can’t tell already, you earn points from completing campaigns which earn you freebies from big brands.

BzzAgent doesn’t involve PayPal or checks, or payment at all for that matter beyond points, so you won’t be getting paid. If that’s what you are looking for, this platform isn’t the right fit for you.

Apart from the test products, you may also receive an occasional promotion gift from them. There is a way to earn things beyond just freebies, though—you can redeem the points you earn from bzz activities.

Using BzzAgent’s partner site called MyPoints, you can exchange your points for gift cards and even cash using PayPal.

Company History

BzzAgent is a large company founded in 2001. It uses word of mouth as a marketing tool by collaborating with popular brands and using social media platforms to improve sales.

The company itself is a subsidiary of DunnHumby – a leading customer science company. They’ve been featured in Shark Tank also.

Alternatives

BzzAgent has proven to be a good option for earning rewards. Other top options include:

Vindale Research – Backed by a major market research company, Vindale Research reliably pays its users.

Pinecone Research – One of the first paid survey companies, Pinecone Research has an amazing track record of paying its survey respondents.

Branded Surveys – With a focus on name brands, Branded Surveys is a good option for earning rewards.

Pros

  • Free to join
  • You keep everything you review
  • You can earn points to redeem for cash or gift cards via MyPoints
  • Well-known company with A+ BBB rating
  • You aren’t obligated to complete any activities (but failure to do so will hurt your bzz score)

Cons

  • You have to take surveys to qualify for review campaigns (surveys don’t guarantee campaigns)
  • Sometimes it takes a long time to receive campaigns
  • There are a lot of activities to do for each campaign and not completing enough hurts your score
  • You need a large social media following
  • Points are redeemed through MyPoints and not the BzzAgent platform itself

BzzAgent Review Final Thoughts

With a solid BBB rating and an easy sign up process, BzzAgent is an easy choice for making money online.

If you are interested in getting hard goods to review, then BzzAgent will be a good option form the various paid survey sites.
