How Does GetPaidtoTry.com Work?

Generating extra income from GetPaidtoTry begins by signing up and completing a short questionnaire on your demographic information. They need this information so they can match you with relevant surveys.

You can earn money by:

  • Completing surveys
  • Reading emails
  • Completing offers
  • Referring friends and family

GetPaidtoTry is a website that pays its members to complete surveys and offers. When new members sign up for this platform, they receive $5 as an instant activation bonus.

This is a generous amount, but not an uncommon for a sign-up bonus from the various get paid to programs available online.

Sign-up and Profile Completion

As mentioned above, after signing up, you will have to complete your profile. GetPaidtoTry then uses the information included in your profile to assign you the most appropriate surveys. Completing the initial profiling questionnaire takes around five minutes, and the questions relate to things like your job, income, and education.

After you have answered all the profile questions, there will be ten profile categories that you have to complete before GetPaidtoTry invites you to be a part of a survey panel. Completing these categories takes around thirty minutes.

Complete Surveys

GetPaidtoTry is not the actual survey provider, and you will be receiving offers from other platforms, which may be confusing. You can make from $0.50 to $2 per survey, and the amount depends on the type and length of the survey.

Read Emails

Completing surveys is not the only thing on GetPaidtoTry you can do to earn money. You can also read emails, complete offers, and refer people to the website.

Opening and reading emails is a simple task and can generate you $0.01 to $0.05 per email. To be credited, you have to open the emails they send you and click on the links included in the emails.

Complete Offers

You can also complete offers with GetPaidtoTry in exchange for cash. Many people do not prefer this task as some offers you complete will require that you sign up or subscribe to trials for free products and services.

As a result, you will start receiving promotional emails from various companies. If you forget to cancel your subscription before your free trial ends, you may end up paying for a product or service that you don’t want.

However, if you like trying new products and can remember to cancel on time, being a product tester is a good money maker and a way to get free stuff.

Referrals

Referring friends and family to the site is a great way to earn extra money with GetPaidtoTry. You earn $0.50 for every referral that signs up, and if you refer 50 or more people per month, you make $1 per referral.

You can gain referrals by providing anyone with your unique referral link. They sign up using your link and you get credit.

GetPaidtoTry is only available to people who live in the United States and any referrals that sign up from other countries will not count.

Is GetPaidtoTry Legit?

Like most other survey sites, GetPaidtoTry is legitimate. You don’t have to pay when you sign up, and you are not likely to have issues with your payments.

If you enjoy doing online surveys, this platform may be a viable option to generate some extra spending cash, but don’t think that you will be receiving a sustainable income with this platform.

While GetPaidtoTry is not a scam, there are some things that you may find questionable about this site. The first problem is that you have to provide them with a lot of personal information, including your contact details, which can result in many unsolicited phone calls.

If you want to complete offers in exchange for cash, you have to be comfortable giving companies your credit card details. They are trying to hook you on their product and make sure you are a legitimate person.

Additionally, you will have to be vigilant and prompt when it comes to canceling your subscriptions before your free trials expire.

How do I Get Paid?

review of getpaidtotry surveys

Before you can get paid for completing surveys or reading emails, you have to reach the minimum cash-out threshold of $10. You can receive your earnings via Payoneer or Amazon gift cards.

Unfortunately, GetPaidtoTry doesn’t make payments via PayPal or any other third-party payment processor. However, a Payoneer account is a quick and straightforward way to get the money in your bank account.

It’s definitely worth your effort to get the money in cash. I mean getting paid is the best part of all these programs, right?!

If you don’t feel comfortable with Payoneer, then getting free gift cards is still a great way to get paid.

Company History

GetPaidtoTry is the internet property of SBG Media and was founded in 2005. The company’s headquarters are located in Brooklyn, New York.

According to their website, they have more than 3 million members since they started working with advertisers.

The purpose of the platform is to do market research and sell that information to other companies. This is the most common reason these survey sites exist.

Alternatives

GetPaidtoTry is limited in its offerings and will send you elsewhere for surveys. Several alternatives can help you earn more without going to other sites:

  • QuickThoughts – A platform those living the mobile lifestyle, QuickThoughts focuses on app only surveys.
  • PaidViewpoint – With a generous referral program, PaidViewpoint pays you for surveys and for people you bring to the program.
  • Digital Reflection Panel – With a set and forget metering system, Digital Reflection Panel pays you for tracking the data you use on your home network.

Pros

  • Free to join
  • Several options to earn money
  • Quick and easy online tasks
  • A relatively low minimum threshold

Cons

  • Sign up forms are extensive and personal
  • Providing your information leaves you susceptible to spam
  • Low income for the input
  • Only two cash out options; no option for PayPal
  • You may have to provide your credit card details when completing offers
  • Answering pre-qualification questions are time-intensive
  • The referral program is limited

Get Paid to Try Final Thoughts

If you like to spend your free time completing surveys and reading about special offers, GetPaidtoTry is a viable option for free money.

However, there is a high likelihood of you becoming the target for aggressive marketing tactics since you have to provide your contact information.

In my personal experience, I have had much greater returns with more established options like Survey Junkie or Swagbucks.
