How Does Lemoney Work?

Lemoney is unlike the usual ‘shop-and-earn-cashback’ kind of a website, it is a social rewards program, which lets you shop at your favorite retail stores and, apart from earning cash back each time that you shop through Lemoney, you can also invite your friends and build a community.

Lemoney offers cashbacks of up to 31% at over 1,500 retail stores such as Walmart, Macy’s BestBuy, eBay, Target, Groupon, etc. Every item that you buy through the Lemoney website qualifies for cashback and the amount for each store varies.

Lemoney is a free-to-join site and once you sign up, you can begin inviting your friends and building your own community. Your Lemoney profile contains invitations which you can send to your friends via your Google+ or Facebook account or by email.

You can also copy and share the invitation link through an SMS. When your friends sign up with Lemoney through your invitation link, they become part of the community. And, each time they shop, they receive cashback and you get a commission from Lemoney.

When you shop from a store via the Lemoney site, you will be redirected to the affiliate store website by Lemoney. The affiliate store recognizes you as a Lemoney user. Once you are redirected to the store, all your purchases and financial transactions occur directly through the store site.

Usually, when Lemoney’s affiliate store validates your cashback, you will be able to redeem your payment in around 120 days. The payment process is very simple.

Lemoney deposits your payment into your PayPal account and you need to simply enter your email ID which is linked with your PayPal account. You can then withdraw the amount through your PayPal account.

You need to be a resident of the US to become a member of Lemoney and you should have a physical address in the US. Lemoney’s program is valid only for purchases made in the United States and they do not guarantee payments for purchases which are made on sites outside the US. All payments are made by Lemoney in US dollars only.

• You can then apply turbo credit that boosts your cashback to a higher amount, which enables you to earn more than the regular rate.
• Just by using Lemoney, you can earn Turbo credits.
• You can use your Turbo credit when you shop via Lemoney and you can apply up to 5 Turbo credits to your purchase. Your rate of cashback will be higher the more the Turbo credits that you use.

Store Rebates Available

The monetary rebate or discount that you get on your online purchases is the cashback. And, as long as you can find the coupon on Lemoney, you can utilize it to earn a cashback and maximize the savings you get. You cannot get a cashback on a coupon that is not found on Lemoney, even if it is provided by the store.

Alternatives

Lemoney is younger than most of the cashback sites, but it is hardly the only option available. Other alternative cashback sites are:

Pros

• Lemoney is a 100% free-to-join website.
• With Turbo Cashback, you can boost the cashback rate by up to 5 times.
• Lemoney’s business model is quite unique and there is no risk to the user.
• Over 1,500 stores that you can shop from and the shopping experience on Lemoney is quite seamless.
• Lemoney lets you earn cashback when you shop online via the website at one of your favorite stores and you can also earn commissions on the purchases made by your friends on the site.
• Customers claimed that you get good cashback rates on Turbo Cashback purchases; however, on non-Turbo purchases, the cashback is pretty mediocre.

Cons

• You need to be a resident of the US to qualify for cashbacks on your purchases on Lemoney. People living outside the US are not eligible for any cashbacks on their purchases. You are also not guaranteed cashbacks on purchases made outside of the US even if you are a US resident.
• You need to wait for at least 4 months before you receive your payments.
• Many customers complained that the customer service of Lemoney is quite poor.

Lemoney Review Final Verdict

Lemoney is a legit cashback sites that has established that they will eventually pay out on their cashback rebates.

While Lemoney is not a scam, they have had some ups and downs and made major changes in their short history. This makes it hard to recommend them over other rebate sites, but they seem to have fixed some of these problems so I am giving them a chance a secondary option for my rebate shopping.
